If something in you feels like it needs to change, start here.
Work with the mind and the body, for anything in your life that feels unsettled or in need of change.
Start the ConversationYou may be here because of one of these.
If one of these sounds familiar, I'd like to hear about it.
Start the ConversationAnxiety And Low Mood
You're anxious or low more often than not, and you can't always point to why.
Life Transitions And Grief
You're going through a major transition or grieving a loss, and you're still finding your footing.
Unhelpful Relationship Patterns
Your relationships keep going the same way. You can see the pattern, but not how to stop it.
Not Feeling Like Yourself
You're going through a change, such as a breakup, a move, a diagnosis or becoming a parent, and you don't feel like yourself.
Tired In A Way Rest Doesn't Fix
You're low, flat or numb, going through the motions, and rest hasn't been reaching it.
Insight Wasn't Enough
You've done therapy before. It helped you understand. It didn't fully change how you feel or respond.
The story and the body, together
Most therapy works with what you think and remember. A lot of what drives anxiety, shutdown or repeated patterns isn't a thought, it's held in the body: a held breath, a braced shoulder, a response that happens before you've decided anything. I work with both, so change doesn't stay only in your head.
Learning to notice what your body is registering, often before you're consciously aware of it.
Understanding where a response came from, and what it was protecting you from.
Bringing what you understand and what you feel into the same place, so insight becomes different behaviour.
Building your capacity to come back to a settled state after something activates you.
Making the change part of how you actually live, not just something you can talk about.
I trained in psychology and counselling and have ten years of clinical practice. I'm currently completing training in Somatic Experiencing, a body-based approach to working with stress and difficult experience. This work is for the difficulty that sits within everyday life. Where something calls for specialist clinical care, I will say so and help you find the right support.
Who I am
I have always been drawn to the inner world: how we think, feel and make sense of our experiences, and what makes change possible.
I studied Psychology and Counselling and began working with people from my first year at university, volunteering with people experiencing psychosis. I later worked in addiction services and residential care in the UK, and practised as a counsellor in Greece and Limassol.
I am trained in Person Centred Counselling, Cognitive Therapy and mindfulness based approaches, and have recently undertaken training in Somatic Experiencing (SE).
I then spent almost a decade working in marketing, leadership and organisational change. That experience gave me another perspective on people: how we respond to pressure, relationships, uncertainty and change within the environments we live and work in.
Today, I bring these two worlds together through SPIRA.
My approach is intuitive and integrative. I listen closely to the person, their story and what is happening beneath the surface, and work with them to create greater awareness, understanding and the possibility for change.
